ABOUT OUR COLLEGE…
THENI KAMMAVAR SANGAM COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY is a premier engineering institution approved by all India council for Technical Education, New Delhi, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The College started functioning from September 2007 in its Campus site spacious and attractive new building. The college is located on the koduvilarpatti, Theni, 3km from the Theni town and is well connected by roads and railways to length and breadth of the country.

DEPARTMENT OF EEE
In the modern era of convergence of television, telephone and computers, professionals with multitasking abilities are highly required in various sectors of advanced technologies. Electrical and Electronics Engineers design, plan, develop, evaluate and test electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Modern Electrical and Electronics Engineering has rapidly evolved into many diverse areas .All these areas demand highly skilled electrical and electronics engineers to provide not only the designs for the equipment, but also their development and maintenance of the product.
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering started in the year 2000 and has been functioning effectively making commendable contribution towards teaching and learning. The Department offers a UG Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a PG Program in Power Electronics and Drives.
The following Laboratories are established in the department in order to meet out the requirements of university curriculum.

3.Electronics Devices and Circuits Laboratory
4.Measurements and Instrumentation Laboratory
5.Control Systems Laboratory
6.Power System Simulation Laboratory
The Electrical Machines Laboratory has good facilities to conduct experiment on various characteristics of AC and DC Machines. The Power Electronics and Drives Laboratory are fully equipped with modern equipments of special electrical machines and drives with excellent infrastructure. The Measurements and Instrumentation Laboratory has various types of measurement systems and instrumentation models. The Control Systems Laboratory has AC and DC servo models, Synchros, Compensators etc. The Power System Simulation Laboratory is fully equipped with the systems of latest configuration and essential software’s like MATLAB, AU Power Lab etc.
The Department has well qualified and dedicated faculty members in various specialized areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Department regularly organizes National level technical symposium and workshop on current technical topics which keeps the students aware of the ongoing trends in the field . The innovative projects of the students have won design competitions at the state and national levels. The graduates of the program are placed in the reputed industries.
We have separate library with more no of books, IEEE journals, Magazines, OPAC and i-gate facilities. We have IEEE membership.
